ArmaFORM was one of the first commercially available PET core for structural composites, introduced back in 2007. Since then, the products have been used extensively in wind energy, as well as in the transport, marine & construction industries.

This structural core is not only recyclable, but is made out of 100% recycled materials - post-consumer PET plastic bottle waste. The cores have DNV-GL approval, and are available in a range of densities and thicknesses, as well as in a range of finishing options such as grid-scoring, contouring and pin-holing. There are also Fire Retardant versions available.

Key to the success of ArmaFORM PET is the combination of material and processing properties. High structural strength at low weight, excellent fatigue resistance, and very good temperature stability are the important factors that enable ArmaFORM PET to substitute more traditional core materials such as PVC, SAN or Balsa. Its closed cell structure ensures minimal humidity absorption and keeps the risk of physical degradation very low.

The addition of the ArmaFORM PET cores compliments the existing Matrix Composites product ranges of carbon & glass reinforcements, as well as the Sicomin range of epoxy resins.
