The Difference Between Meta-Aramid and Para-Aramid

Meta-Aramids are highly resistant to temperature, chemical degradation, and abrasion. A meta-aramid fiber is usually manufactured by wet spinning, which means spins in a chemical solution. The key feature is their ability to withstand tensile stress during exposure to flames and temperatures up to 400 deg. C.

Para-aramids display high tensile strength and modulus behavior. These fibers are created by the dry jet. The key feature is their ability to withstand extreme tensile stress, which could be up to 21cN/dTex.

The feature of m-aramid and p-aramid makes them available for different applications. For example, m-aramid can be used for electrical insulation, protective clothing, p-aramid can be used for ballistics protection, racing vehicles.

Recently, our customers have extended our opinion of para-aramid yarn. But due to our confidentiality obligation. We could only show the designed purposed for the product we do have.
